Manchester International Airport (MAN) is well serviced by trains, buses, coaches, taxis and car hire services. The airport serves the Greater Manchester north-west England area and is well connected to the region's motorway network, providing passengers with easy access to a large number of north-west destinations.

The centre of Manchester can be reached within 20 minutes by train and normally within an hour by bus, depending on traffic conditions.

Travel by Buses
There are three main bus companies operating services to and from Manchester International Airport (MAN), providing connections to Manchester, Altrincham and Stockport; National Express connects the airport with additional UK towns and cities. Buses depart every 30 minutes from the bus station situated outside Terminal 1 International Arrivals and also from outside Terminal 2 Arrivals. Coach services are less frequent and details and tickets are available from the Tourist Information Centre.

Travel by Hotel Shuttles
A large number of Manchester hotels offer shuttle services from the airport and these depart from all three of the airport's terminal buildings. Please check with your hotel whether or not a hotel representative will be available to meet you on arrival at the airport.

Travel by Trains
With a journey time of less than 20 minutes, rail travel is by far the quickest option for reaching the centre of Manchester from the airport. Via Manchester Piccadilly, rail services connect the airport with more than 100 UK destinations, with frequent services to the capital, with a journey time of less than 3 hours.

Travel by Taxi Cabs
Manchester International Airport (MAN) is well serviced by taxis and travellers will find licensed services available for hire at taxi ranks located outside Arrivals at all three terminals. Fares for journeys within the Manchester area are metered and a typical journey to the city centre will cost in excess of £10. The Airportcarz Company also runs a Taxibus service from all three terminals which must be booked prior to your journey.

Travel by Limousines
Limousines should be pre-booked prior to your arrival at the airport; alternatively, a single company is represented at the airport for on arrival bookings.
